About Me

My photo
I'm a simple kind of girl, but a true girly girl. I like pink....no I change that, I LOVE pink, and shoes, LOTS of shoes. I've been blessed to have this life and I plan on embarking on all the journeys that come with each day.

Hello loves!  Hope you all had an amazing weekend.  So here I am, back, and a year older.  It actually feels pretty good.  I'm having a slight case of the Mondays and needing coffee more than ever this morning, but I digress.  I wanted to share a quick snap shot of my OOTN Saturday (outfit of the night).  It's not the best snap shot, but I did attempt to put on my freakum' dress for my last 25yr old hurrah!

How did I do?!

Sorry the quality is so bad, stupid lighting and iphone!

And a quick peak of my FOTN (face of the night) for my Friday birthday dinner.  I was so in love with this vivacious "Girl About Town" pink lip from MAC.

Until next time!

Song Of The Day: Gary Clarke Jr.

Hope you all had a productive and speedy Monday!  Here's a little easy listening for your enjoyment. Yes, I picked up this amazing song while watching the awful rachetness of Mob Wives (don't judge me!)

Birthday Girl!! (well not until Friday)

Birthday! by crystal330 featuring true religion jeans

So as I stated in my previous post, I will be turning 26 on Friday!  I'm extremely excited, because for the past few months, I have been a super homebody!  This weekend my 2 best friends will be joining me in the city for shopping, dinner, and a night on the town.  I couldn't ask for a better day.  The above outfit is what I will be wearing Saturday for our girls day out.  The weather is shaping up to be a sunny 63 degrees here in DC.  Even though it wont be as warm as it has been, these past couple weeks (treading around 70's/80's), I think this outfit will be fitting. Very spring inspired but also comfy.  The wedges are  a perfect pop of floral!  What do you guys think!?

Reflection: Good-bye 25

So here I am in my last week of 25, and holy moly, where has the time gone.  Twenty-Five was an interesting year, but one that I am glad to see go.  Sooo many life lessons,  heartbreaks, disappointments, confusion, depression, and last but not least exhaustion.  This whole year has been a complete world-wind and where it started is a completely different lifetime of where it ended.  All in all,  it was an eye opener.  As we grow up we have hopes and dreams, and sometimes, we even place time frames on those hopes and dreams.  We then find ourselves terribly disappointed, when that time comes and we are not in that ideal place that we "prophesied" we'd be. That has been my life for the past week.  Realizing that 25 has come, and is about to go, and I am NO WHERE NEAR where I thought I'd be in life.  I sit here in my high school room, at my mother's house, where I now live and I say to myself....SO FREAKING WHAT!!!
I'm about to be a 26 year old, with no kids, no husband, little debt, who may live at home with her mother, but only by choice (and trust me, my bank account thanks me).  Life is just beginning!  "Have fun, that's what your twenties are for," -Thank you Carrie Bradshaw, and that's what I intend to do.  I feel I've spent so much time thinking about the things that aren't going on in my life, that I'm forgetting to take life by the balls and just enjoy the ride (this in the most unperv-like context).  I'm thankful, and so truly blessed.  And how dare I question what God has laid out for me.  I'm only insulting his intelligence by thinking that certain things should be happening when I say they should be.  He knows what's best for me, and He's put me on this journey because He sees the end results, and I only see right here and now.

So loves, the moral of this story is, regardless of your situation, be blessed.  God has got your back and he's in complete control.  So you just need to sit back, have fun, enjoy, and be excited for the place that you are in.  Because this is only the starting point for the journey that lies ahead.  Let's not insult God and his plan for our lives, but let us rejoice in knowing that all things will happen in His time.

Until next time!

DMV Weekend Forecast

Winter has finally touched down, here in the DC metro area. I've finally been able to pull out all the big winter coats, as well as, the Hunter rain boots and Uggs! Even though I long for the days of Spring, where little by little the layers can diminish, I definitely embrace all the fun and cozy outfits that I will be able to compile for the season.

Sick Days

Good Morning Lovelies! Guess what?! It's FRIDAY!!! We've made it to yet another weekend (amen to that). I have not been at my finest hour these last couple of days. I was fortunate enough to have ALL 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. Its been such an amazing time popping pills, icing my face, and depriving myself of all delicious food so that I can settle for mush....just simply amazing. So that you can see my fabulousness, in all its glory, here's a little proof...

the good things is.... I'm getting to eat lots and LOTS of this!!!

Since I won't be drinking this weekend, due to all the meds, and not wanting to end up looking like this guy

You guys drink enough for me too!.......... Cheers to the freakin' weekend!

Until next time!

Lazy Weekends...

Hi there ladies! I hope that your first week of the new year was peaceful and kind. Mine has been BEYOND busy. Work has been crazy, with me working in accounting, the end of the year/beginning of the year is our busiest time. But I digress.....I hope everyone's weekend has been fabulous! Mine has been beyond relaxing, and you know what, I LOVED IT! Sometimes our weekends end up busier than our weekdays, but this weekend I was lucky enough to have absolutely no plans. I started off my saturday looking like a little boy, but eventually ended up looking more decent lol. I slept in, got a pedi, and continued my lazy-ism throughout.(insert sigh of bliss here).
This evening I decided to be productive, for just a couple of hours (long enough to wash my hair and do a little grocery shopping). BUT, here I am again doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. lol lovely! So as I sit here sipping wine, blogging, and catching up on all of my guilty pleasures (RHOA, KKTNY, football play offs) I cannot help but dread tomorrow morning. Whoever invented the 5 day work-week/2 day weekend should dive off a cliff. I'm thinking a staycation is in my near future. How did you ladies spend the weekend?

I'm wishing you all a quick, yet productive week.

Until next time!
